Following a talk by Tricia Boynton, Godalming CAB Adviser, The President of the Inner Wheel Club, Mrs Clare Sandy nominated us as their charity and presented a cheque for £1,250 following a charity Bridge Day. We are most grateful to Sally Braid and the ladies of the Inner Wheel for organising the Bridge lunch.
Our Spanish wine tasting evening raised a magnificent £2,150. Nearly 100 guests experienced wine tasting from Master of Wine expert Angela Muir who is also a Godalming Helpline Operator. Another successful night raised £543.00. Our thanks to the Waverley Singers who made us their charity at their Christmas concert. Well done also to Gillian Pickering for helping on this event.
Farnham bureaux’s third Bridge Day was another success which raised over £1400! The night included a raffle with made £275.
Another great quiz night organised by Keith Stocker raised over £2,600. One donor gave us £385!!! We are extremely grateful.
An evening of light opera at Haslemere Hall raised more than £5,000, including nearly £3,000 at an auction of items donated by local businesses, CAB staff and families. This money will go towards running costs of our four bureaux.
