LGBTQ+ Advocate & Domestic Abuse Support Worker

25-35 hrs a week, £26,000 per annum pro rata

South West Surrey Domestic Abuse Outreach Service is part of Citizens Advice Waverley and we are looking for an advocate and support worker for members of the LGBTQ+ community across the whole of Surrey who are experiencing domestic abuse. You will be part of the LGBTQ+ community and/or have experience of LGBTQ+ needs and the impact of discrimination.

This is a new role and it is anticipated that initial work will be around raising awareness of the specialist domestic abuse LGBTQ+ service within Surrey, whilst building up a client base. You will also be providing a professional and empathetic service for survivors of Domestic Abuse including risk assessment, advice, safeguarding and liaison with other professionals for example Police, Social Services and Local Authorities.
