Vacancy for an Advice Session Supervisor
12 Feb 2018
I did it!!! I’m still on a high!
It was an amazing day, the atmosphere was incredible, lots of “high fiving” the fantastic spectators, the music, clapping and encouraging words really helped. I started at the back pen with runners in fancy dress and looking at my stats, ran past 11,671 runners and 66 ran past me.
I was so lucky to have my family (my husband Andy and daughter Millie) and friends with me and my twin (Mandy) from Australia had also come to visit which was really emotional.
The last few miles were really tricky but thinking about the 3 mile loop I regularly do in Farnham close to home helped. I managed to run the whole way and happy with my time of 4 hrs 22 minutes especially as I started so far at the back, not leaving until 25 minutes after the first runner. You can check out my running stats here.
I’m so proud to have done this for Citizens Advice Waverley, I really enjoy my job there in Farnham and admire the advisers and team for how they help so many people in and around the town. The support I have received from Citizens Advice Waverley has been incredible.
I’m so proud of the final fundraising total of £4,871 including gift aid. This includes an amazing donation from Waitrose Community Matters of £490 for which I send my sincere thanks.
Thank you to everyone who donated, I couldn’t have done it without your support and encouragement. I’m so thankful to you all.
